Birmingham Airport passengers face another day of chaos as hundreds of people wait in long queues amid confusion over 100ml liquid rule

Passengers at Birmingham Airport are facing yet another day of chaos as hundreds of people have been left waiting in long queues.

Holidaymakers were forced to stand in long queues on Friday morning, with some turning up three hours before take-off only to find themselves a long way from departures.

Passengers shared warnings with other travellers hoping to fly out of the West Midlands airport on June 7.

Jodie Rhianon shared a picture on X of a massive queue to get into the airport at around 5.45am.

She said: ‘Public service announcement: If you are thinking of flying from Birmingham airport anytime soon. Don’t. You’re welcome.’

Social media user ‘CaptainGlobie’, at around 7.30am posted a picture of the queue which had stretched to outside the Arrivals entrance, and wrote: ‘Good job the suns out…

‘To be fair to staff they are doing a great job trying to make sure people get flights on time but it needs fixing. Not like you wouldn’t expect passengers at an airport…’

At 5.15am today, @BiteYourBrum posted: ‘Yeeeeah, Birmingham Airport is an absolute shambles – Glad I came three hours early now.

‘I can hardly see departures but there’s hundreds in front of me just to get inside. Oh and if you come by monorail they’ll just send you outside to join this, btw. What fun @bhx_official.’
