A statement warning humanity about the potential threat posed by Artificial Intelligence has been signed by 350 AI scientists, tech industry CEOs and other prominent figures.

Even mainstream tech leaders like the heads of Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT put their signatures on the message.
The one-sentence statement released by the Center for AI Safety simply reads, “Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.”
That’s right, according to individuals like Bill Gates, the threat associated with AI is nearly on the same level as a global virus or nuclear holocaust.

The signed statement comes after several other AI and tech industry leaders also penned letters urging artificial intelligence labs to pause development or for the government to create a new agency overseeing AI laws and regulations.
