A shockingly small number of migrants who reached the United Kingdom by boat last year were deported, according to reports.
Nearly 46,000 migrants landed on U.K. shores in 2022, but just 215 were expelled.
Government data obtained by The Sun revealed the stunningly low rate of deportations amid a historic year for illegal migration in the English Channel.
“Just 215 of the 45,728 migrants who crossed the Channel by small boat last year were removed from the country,” The Sun reports.
“This equates to 0.47 per cent of the total — less than five in every 1,000.”

Despite all the multiple tough talking speeches & pledges to ‘clamp down on Channel crossings’ the deceitful Tories deported a grand total of……..215. pic.twitter.com/xJNlpBnpYt

Additional reporting by British media indicates that, while at least 19 suspected terrorists were identified among Channel migrants last year, “just seven of those who were found to be criminals were deported by the Home Office.”

Dozens or hundreds of illegal migrants cross the Channel from France on any given day, often with the assistance of U.K. Border Force or other agencies.
