Climate change hoax fanatic Rishi Sunak spent more than £500,000 taxpayers’ money on private jet hire in two weeks

Rishi Sunak spent more than £500,000 of taxpayers’ cash on private jet hire in the space of two weeks, it has been revealed. The Prime Minister racked up a total of £512,321 on either private jet or RAF plane hire for three overseas visits last year, according to new Cabinet Office figures.

Mr Sunak made a last-minute trip to the Cop27 climate change conference in Egypt in November after U-turning on plans not to attend.

He went on to travel to the G20 Summit in Indonesia the week after.

The PM then flew to Latvia and Estonia in December for a meeting of Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) nations and to visit UK troops in December.

Downing Street insisted the combined cost across the two-week period was needed for “vital” engagements.

Mr Sunak’s plane hire for Sharm El-Sheikh on November 6 and 7 cost £107,966.

Between November 13 and 17, the PM was in Bali with the sum for the travel totalling £341,857.

And on November 19, the Prime Minister’s plane hire to Riga, Latvia, and Tallinn, Estonia, came at a cost of £62,498.

Wera Hobhouse, the Liberal Democrat climate spokesman, said: “This is a shocking waste of taxpayers’ money at a time when people are struggling to pay their bills.

“Yet again, this Conservative Government is completely out of touch.

“The Government can pretend to care about a greener future with their so-called ‘Green Day’, but the reality is they are trashing their own promises.”

A Number 10 spokesman said: “The role of the Prime Minister includes holding vital meetings with world leaders during bilateral visits and summits to discuss issues of international importance – including security, defence and trade.”
