House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told the media on Thursday that the coward cop who shot and killed unarmed 14-year Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol on Jan 6th “did his job.”
“Do you think Ashli Babbitt was murdered or do you think the police officer who shot her was doing his job?” was asked by a reporter during a press conference at the Capitol.

Though most Republicans view Babbitt as the victim of a trigger-happy coward, Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said he took Byrd into his bosom after the shooting and “gave him a hug” and told him, “Sir, you did what you had to do.”
