The leader of a black gun rights organization challenged “racist” comments made by ABC/Disney’s The View co-host Joy Behar Wednesday, in which she suggested gun owners fear black people owning firearms.
“Once black people get guns in this country, the gun laws will change — Trust me,” Behar told guest co-host Lindsey Granger, who was arguing that not all AR-15 owners are crazed lunatics.

Behar was rebuffed by Maj Toure, the founder of the Black Guns Matter organization which offers free firearm safety lessons and training to black people in high crime environments, who called her comments “racist, ignorant and ill-informed.”
“First and foremost that is ignorant, it’s incorrect, it’s race-based, and it’s completely insensitive and disgusting,” Toure said in a video reply.
