Beverley Turner has been lambasted by This Morning viewers after branding Volodymyr Zelensky’s surprise Grammys appearance ‘troubling’ – as she bemoaned showbiz ‘colliding with geopolitics’.
The television presenter, 48, based in Devon, came under fire last year following an on-screen row with host Dermot O’Leary over her suggestion that young people should reject having the coronavirus vaccine.
And today, Beverley has been criticised once again by fans of the ITV programme after appearing on the show to discuss the Ukrainian president’s surprise appearance at the Grammys in Las Vegas, yesterday.
Zelensky spoke via videolink to introduce John Legend, who sang a song for the war-ravaged country. In a pre-recorded message, he told the assembled musicians to use their voices to demand an end to the war, stating: ‘Anything but silence’.
However, Beverley suggested the ‘collision of politics and entertainment’ is a ‘little troubling’ – leaving ‘furious’ viewers to brand her comments as ‘stupid’.
