Three women have been fined for house parties held on the same day as the Downing Street Christmas party. The cases emerged as a former senior police officer called for the December 18 party at No 10 to be investigated.
The Metropolitan Police has ruled out an inquiry, saying there is no evidence and that it did not retrospectively investigate coronavirus breaches.
Last week Ami Goto, 23, from west London, was fined £1,100 plus court costs after Westminster magistrates’ court found that she had, without reasonable excuse, participated in a gathering in a flat in Holborn, central London, on December 18. Ebru Sen, 26, of Sittingbourne, Kent, was fined for being at the gathering.
