A Covid-19 denier jumped to his death from high cliffs in Cornwall after his mental health became ‘exacerbated by the pandemic’, an inquest heard today.
Kevin Frost became withdrawn from his partner and family after losing both his parents in 2019 and 2020 as well as his beloved pet dog.
The coroner ruled that Mr Frost’s mental health had suffered during the pandemic and that it had been exacerbated by lockdown.
The Truro inquest heard from family members that he was a follower of ex-footballer and conspiracy theorist David Icke and often researched conspiracy theories on the internet.
His family said that at one point he rushed in to say the coronavirus pandemic ‘was all lies’ and that he stopped working and travelled to the West Country.
Kevin, from Carlisle, was seen by eye witnesses sitting near the edge of steep cliffs between Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth in Cornwall one day in May this year.
He was still there 90 minutes later and some coastal path walkers became concerned and began calling the police.
Kevin, 47, then walked to the cliff edge, squatted down briefly, leaned forwards and fell of the cliff.
