Sir Paul McCartney encouraged others to get vaccinated as he shared a throwback image getting his own dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Beatles’ star, 79, wore a face mask and beanie hat in the shot as he rolled up his sleeve for the jab.
Sir Paul took to Twitter on Monday to share the throwback snap as he tweeted: ‘BE COOL. GET VAX’D – Paul.’
Although Sir Paul did not state when or where he received the vaccine, those aged 70 and over and the clinically extremely vulnerable began receiving invitations for vaccinations in the UK on January 18.
Back in December, the Liverpudlian rock star insisted that he would get vaccinated ‘as soon as I’m allowed.’ He told The Sun at the time. ‘The vaccine will get us out of this. I think we’ll come through it, I know we’ll come through, and it’s great news about the vaccine.
‘I’ll have it as soon as I’m allowed. ‘The vaccine will get us out of this.’
