Virtual Reality Being Promoted for Mental Health Treatment Despite Risks to Eyes, Balance, Brain and More

Research has determined that Virtual Reality (VR) can cause behavioral changes, balance issues. cognitive problems, eye problems (soreness, vision changes), headaches, and more.  2018 research revealed that children who use VR absorb 2-5 times more radiation than adults.

Because of COVID, companies already known for privacy violations (like Facebook) are better able to market VR for educational, recreational and businesses purposes.  Last fall, research determined that VR can profile your personality – if you’re concerned about that kind of thing.  All things considered, suggesting that it be used for mental health treatment seems bizarre and ridiculous.
