Police Scotland are investigating the incident for a potential breach in Covid-19 regulation.
Police officers are being investigated for breaching lockdown by holding a party that resulted in one of them being arrested.
An officer has been charged over an alleged assault during the gathering on Saturday night. Several other colleagues are under investigation following the incident at a £300,000 semi-detached house in Rutherglen.
A female officer has appeared in court accused of attacking a male colleague at the four-bedroom home, reports the Daily Record. It’s understood that people from at least three households were present at the house despite the current ban on visits to other households.
Force insiders told the Record the number present at the party was less than the 16 people that would see it considered a “large party” under the guidelines.
