
With England set to enter a full national lockdown on Thursday, many of the UK’s major supermarkets are tightening up their rules to ensure shoppers and staff are kept as safe as possible while in store.
Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Morrisons and Lidl have all instated in their own measures to keep people safe, and to ensure they don’t run out of essential items. And now Sainsbury’s has asked people to shop alone where possible, in a bid to reduce the number of people inside its stores at any one time.
This means that couples will not be allowed to shop together, and families should only enter shops with each other if children are not able to stay at home.
