Boris Johnson to announce 10pm curfew for pubs and restaurants in England

Boris Johnson is set to slap all pubs, bars and restaurants in England with a 10pm curfew in a bid to tackle the soaring number of Covid-19 cases.

The Tory Prime Minister will address announce the new rules during a live, televised address at 8pm on Tuesday night.

He is expected to announce more restrictive measures for the hospitality industry who, by law, will only be allowed to provide table service during limited trading hours.

The new rules are being guided by scientific advice and will be announced following an emergency Cobra meeting with the other UK leaders.
