‘Separate public toilets could be banned for men and women in a post- coronavirus world, the British Toilet Association has claimed.
Britain is slowly emerging from lockdown as Covid-19 restrictions are being eased across the world.
As we move on, there has been a lot of speculation about what life could look like post-lockdown.
The British Toilet Association has said it’s advising companies and councils on shared toilets, and it plans to “revolutionise” the process.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, the BTA’s Managing Director, Raymond Martin said solutions range from foot-operated flushes and self-closing seats.
Mr Martin said sensor activated taps and soap dispensers could also be common place very soon.
One of the most substantial changes is the elimination of separate toilets for men and women.
He said gender neutral facilities, which have received criticism in the past, could be the new normal.
The process would involve men and women queening up at one door and exiting on the other side.’
