The United Kingdom is allocating over $248 million in aid to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and charities to help developing countries fight COVID-19 and to prevent a second wave of the coronavirus infection, International Development Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan said on Sunday.
According to data from the UK Department of Health, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has surpassed 78,900, while the death toll from the viral disease stands at over 9,800.’
