Time and again, both right wings of the US war party proved and continue to prove that they’re unfit to govern responsibly and pose an unprecedented danger to the safety and welfare of their citizens and humanity.
They focus on endless wars of aggression against invented enemies — along with serving privileged interests exclusively at the expense of vital homeland needs.
It’s happening at a time when full attention should be focused on cooperative efforts with other nations on containing the highly contagious/fast spreading COVID-19 outbreak — along with using US resources to provide healthcare for all Americans when failing to could make a fast developing bad situation much worse.
Woefully little CDC testing has been conducted when all-out efforts to provide it should have been mandated weeks ago.
It’s inconceivable that the number of infected Americans aren’t many multiples higher than reported numbers of around 1,700.
On Thursday, Ohio’s health director Amy Acton estimated that at least 1% of the state’s 11.7 million people are infected by COVID-19 — over 100,000 people.
Infections are likely spreading in all 50 states at a time when Trump and Congress fiddle while Rome slowly burns, as the saying goes.
Instead of addressing what could become a national health emergency because of inaction to address the growing COVID-19 threat, the Trump regime terror-bombed Iraq on Thursday — a nation devastated by the US for the last 40 years.
The overnight strikes came in response to a rocket attack on the Pentagon’s Camp Taji, one of numerous US bases in the country — unwanted by its ruling authorities, lawmakers and people.
The US is a hostile occupier of Iraqi territory. The Trump regime and vast majority of congressional members prioritize advancing the nation’s imperium over the health and welfare of ordinary Americans they’re dismissive toward.
The rocket attack on Camp Taji reported killed two US soldiers and one from the UK, injuring around a dozen others.
The Trump regime blamed the popular mobilization group Kata’ib Hezbollah for the incident without providing proof.
CENTCOM commander General Kenneth McKenzie blamed Iran for supporting the group, adding:
“(T)he Iranian proxy group (sic) Kata’ib Hezbollah is the only group known to have previously conducted an indirect fire attack of this scale against US and coalition forces in Iraq.”
Ahead of the overnight strikes, Trump authorized them instead of prioritizing peace and full attention to the growing COVID-19 threat.
US war secretary Mark Esper said DJT OK’d the terror-bombing attacks, an act of aggression, a US specialty conducted repeatedly against one nation after another, Esper adding:
“We have got to hold the perpetrators accountable. You don’t get to shoot at our bases and kill and wound Americans and get away with it (sic).”
Iraqis and countless others worldwide are the aggrieved, the US the perpetrator against multiple countries with no end of its war on humanity at home and abroad in prospect.
Following its latest act of aggression against a sovereign state, the Trump regime’s war department called overnight terror-bombings of Iraqi targets “defensive.”
There’s nothing remotely defensive about preemptive wars on nations threatening no one ongoing endlessly — the nation’s resources used for destructive, not constructive purposes.
The US is waging hot war and by other means against many countries without formally declaring it.
At a time when mutual cooperation among world nations against a common health threat is urgently needed, US imperial rage threatens global war that could risk using nuclear weapons able to kill us all.
