‘CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, Sounders and now the XFL’s Dragons, announced Monday in a news release it will go cashless.
The stadium said the move to credit- and debit-only transactions was “an effort to boost guest experience through faster lines and more efficient sales processes.” The WAMU Theater and CenturyLink Field Event Center will also be affected.
Depending on the event about 75% of all concessions purchases were cashless before the announcement, David Young, the general manager of CenturyLink Field, said in the news release. The percentage jumped to 90% for retail purchases.’
