Putin in Israel: No Place for a World Leader or Anyone Else

Why did Putin agree to meet with unindicted war criminal/indicted civil criminal Netanyahu in Israel for the World Holocaust (Industry) Forum at the Vad Vashem memorial?

Why did he come together with a figure involved in committing holocaust high crimes against long-suffering Palestinians?

Why is he giving credence and respectability to holocaust distortions, deception, politicization and commercialization of long ago Jewish suffering — what the holocaust industry is all about, a sham Norman Finkelstein exposed! More on this below.

Former Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban once remarked that “(t)here’s no business like Shoah business.”

The myth of unique Jewish suffering is connected to power politics, diverting attention from Israeli high crimes of war, against humanity, and slow-motion holocaust against the Palestinian people, along with falsely equating criticism of Israel and Zionism with anti-Semitism — aided and abetted the West, especially the US.

Jewish holocaust imagery diverts attention from occupation harshness, dispossessions, mass arrests, detentions, torture, and other Israeli high crimes — as vicious as how Nazis persecuted Jews, ongoing decades longer with no letup.

There was nothing unique about Nazi persecution and mass murder of Jews.

In WW II, three times as many Slavs died. America’s Native American genocide was likely the most horrific one ever — 500 years of hate crimes, massacring and eliminating about 100 million human beings for whom no national monuments or commemorations honor in the US, elsewhere in the Americas, or West.

The African holocaust was just as monstrous, hundreds of years of colonization, oppression, exploitation, and slavery.

Much of it trafficked to America,

Black Africans were captured, branded, chained, force-marched to ports, beaten, kept in cages, stripped of their humanity, and often their lives.

Countless tens of millions were sold like cattle, millions perishing in the Middle Passage, women beaten and raped along the way, others flogged or clubbed to death.

Anyone thought to be diseased was dumped overboard like garbage.

Historian Howard Zinn called American slavery “the most cruel form in history: the frenzy for limitless profit that comes from capitalistic agriculture; the reduction of the slave to less than human status by the use of racial hatred, with that relentless clarity based on color, where white was master, black was slave.”

Horrendous post-WW II US genocides are ignored. Millions of North Koreans, Southeast Asians, Central and Latin Americans, Africans, other Asians, Afghans, Iraqis, Libyans, Syrians, Yemenis, and others perished. More die daily out of sight and mind.

Vulgar dishonesty exploits Jewish suffering. Palestine’s Nakba gets short shrift. Palestinians today are as helpless as were Jews in Nazi occupied countries.

Israeli state terror targets them ruthlessly, no one intervening on their behalf to help.

What began with the Nakba continues under apartheid rule, what Edward Said called “refined viciousness.”

Life in occupied Palestine includes economic strangulation, poverty, unemployment, collective punishment, loss of fundamental freedoms, targeted assassinations, punitive taxes, stolen land and resources, Gazans suffocating under siege, separation walls, electric fences and border closings, curfews, roadblocks and checkpoints, bulldozed homes and crops, as well as arbitrary arrests, imprisonment, torture, and other ill-treatment.

All of the above constitute slow-motion holocaust against Palestinians, largely ignored in the West — legitimate Israeli criticism considered anti-Semitic.

In his book titled The Holocaust Industry, Norman Finkelstein documented how European governments are blackmailed “in the name of ‘needy holocaust victims.’ ”

Exploiting the holocaust for self-enrichment, corrupt Jewish organizations profit from “holocaust compensation” contributions — what Finkelstein called a “holocaust shakedown racket,” involving large-scale embezzlement by crooks and profiteers running the Claims Conference scam.

Finkelstein showed that the racket has nothing to do with “Jewish suffering,” everything to do with “Jewish (self) aggrandizement.”

“(T)he Holocaust Industry (campaign) to extort money from Europe in the name of ‘needy Holocaust victims’ has shrunk the moral status of martyrdom to that of a Monte Carlo casino,” he stressed.

Without industrial scale PR promotion, the Jewish holocaust would likely be no more than a footnote in history.

It pales in comparison to hundreds of millions who perished in the 20th and early 21st centuries worldwide — from endless wars, related violence, untreated diseases, starvation and overall deprivation.

Commenting on Finkelstein’s book Beyond Chutzpah launched my pro bono writing career in retirement from small family business.

Discussing the “misuse of anti-Semitism and abuse of history,” he exposed the myth of unique Jewish suffering.

I’ve written volumes on Israel/Palestine, a topic I revisit time and again after writing about Life in Occupied Palestine, shortly after discussing Finkelstein’s book.

Showing up in Israel to be paraded around like a prop in support of Netanyahu’s regime was and remains no place for any world leader or anyone else.

Putin did himself a disservice by associating himself with Bibi in Israel like he’s done before in Moscow.

He’s a thuggish figure exceeding Sharonian evil, terrorizing Palestinians, terror-bombing Syrians, assassinating enemies of the state, supported by billions of dollars of US blood money annually.

Joint (Arab) List head Ayman Odeh called him “a psychopath (who) spills our blood” in his own self-interest — guilty of slow-motion Palestinian holocaust on his watch.
