‘Meat Loaf has hit out at climate change activist Greta Thunberg, calling the 17-year-old “brainwashed”.
The comments came after a rare interview with the Bat Out of Hell star, who has taken a step back from public life since having a health scare back in 2016.
But the singer and actor pulled no punches, telling the MailOnline: “I feel for that Greta. She has been brainwashed into thinking that there is climate change and there isn’t.
“She hasn’t done anything wrong but she’s been forced into thinking that what she is saying is true.”
The comments about Thunberg come amidst the tragic Australian bush fires which leading scientists say is being caused by record draught and record heat.
Meat Loaf isn’t the only person to have criticised the teenage Thunberg.
United States President Trump, who worked with Meat Loaf on the “Celebrity Apprentice” back in 2010, has previously called the Swedish-born activist “ridiculous” suggesting she needed to “work on her Anger Management problem”.’
